Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I can't stand the Afleck brothers either. I find it hard to understand why Ben and Matt(Damon) were/are good friends. Ben seems like such a drudge and Matt is a free spirit and clown.

Well thank God I'm not the only one who feels that way! Sadly, Matt Damon also makes me want to throw up in my mouth when I lay eyes on him, but I have to admit I think he's an even more talented actor than the Afflecks. I didn't see the zoo movie he did, but everything else I've seen him in, his performances literally make me forget I don't like him. The Bourne movies I can watch over and over. I was impressed with his performance in Behind the Candelabra, as well. It was an unexpected choice for a role from him but after seeing it, I don't think anyone else would have played it as seamlessly as he did. As far as the Afflecks go, I think some of it has to do with their voices. They grate on my nerves, so bad! I think they sound like muppets. ( just so we're clear, I love The Muppets, but grown men shouldn't sound like one.LOL) I just can't take them seriously because of it. I just think they're smarmy.

Probably the early successes of Good Will Hunting and Dogma.

I just saw Good Will Hunting for the first time recently. I didn't expect to like it. I think it made me realize he's probably growing on me. It was kind of bittersweet to see Robin Williams, too.

I found Dogma thoroughly enjoyable just for the irreverency of it. But if you don't like Jay & Silent Bob then avoid.
Yep. For whatever reason, they get on my nerves so I haven't seen it.

I wonder why all the good movies come out in November and December...can't wait to see Mockingjay Part 2 and The Force Awakens!
HA! I want to see The Force Awakens, too! I just told my DH last night that it's time he finally sits down and watches some Star Wars with me. I told him we're gonna have a movie marathon because I'm pretty sure he's the only guy his age alive on this planet who hasn't seen at least one Star Wars film. I've suffered through so many Will Ferrel & Steve Carrel stuff just because they make him happy and that he'll just have to suck it up and do the same.

(*I love love love, Anchorman, Elf, and Talladega Nights. They are the exception for me. I can usually only handle him in short spurts. Like silly SNL sketches)

Yeah! I'm going to see The Force Awakens at midnight the day it comes out (I'm that excited!).

I Loved Will Ferrell in Elf and I can't think of the name "Blazing something, when he was an ice skater. That really cracked me up. And some of his stuff on " Crazy or die." comic skits, especially the ones with the little Baby as his landlady.

Elf is the best Christmas movie.

Yes it is. It is very special to me because I was home alone at Xmas and didn't want to be depressed about it. I walked to the movie theatre (11 miles round trip) and saw Elf. I really liked it and when the movie ended everyone cheered and wished each other Merry Christmas. I walked home feeling really good inside.
