I saw Dr Strange last night with Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton - I enjoyed it - typical Marvel and fun. Makes you wonder what those Tibetan Monks really can do!
 
I love Benedict Cumberbatch. I thought "Dr.Strange," would be too weird but when my brother & I went to see it after it opened, we loved it. I thought it was funny too and really different. I love that his cape(?) had a life of it's own.
 
Hoping to see " Logan" this week, it's the last time Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine,,and I understand Patrick Stewart of X-Men, is retiring from that.

Don't know if "Scull Island," yet another remake of King Kong is worth seeing - it does have Tom Hiddleston (LOKI) in it and I love him but.......

I wonder who they'll get to play those characters in future. Hugh and Patrick ARE the characters. It'd be hard to accept somebody else in the roles.

I saw a preview of the King Kong. The graphics of Kong were pretty impressive. I wasn't paying much attention, is John Goodman in it? I vaguely remember him saying something? It seemed quite dark and scary. I wouldn't mind seeing it, I haven't heard much about it, so I don't have any expectations about it.
 
Yes, John Goodman is in it and John C.Reilly (probably spelled wrong). Looks like the best KONG - graphics I have ever seen.

As to "Logan," I haven't seen anything to suggest it but, I am wondering if the GIRL takes his place in future stories (if there are any). I don't think any other man could play Logan, so I think a girl - maybe to play it older as a woman, would be the answer. I see from the trailer that she has the same claws.

I do expect I will need Kleenex to get through it.
 
@drumstick diva I just read that they are thinking of making Iron Man and Thor into women - just won't seem the same - I don't want to go down the gender thing but some parts really should just be given to guys- can't say I'll get the hots for a muscle bound female. Even at my age you can still dream! so sad

They used to have a cartoon and it had he-man and shera (or something like that). The girl character worked, but she was her own person, not another character swapped to be a female. That xena used to be pretty "tough" too, didn't she. They could have girl heroes, but new ones, not existing male characters.

Yes I agree there was wonder woman, superwoman, catwoman- can you imagine Iron Woman it really doesn't do it for me. Having visions of Soviet Shot putters
