Current Social Media Chicken Feed Craze - posted testing results

So, all within stated perimeters?
Yes, all in accordance with bag disclosures, none particularly concerning in regards chicken nutrition. Fiber TARGET is around 3.5 %, but its one of the "softer" targets - you can find feeds advertising < 10% being sold commercially. 6.9% actual, 8% max (per nutrition label) isn't terrible, and definitely won't stop layers from doing their laying.

Feed was also sent to Servitech. They were not told it wass Producer's Pride

DDT got into the water, where it was taken up by the fish, and then consumed by birds like the Bald Eagle, where it had negative effect on reproduction (and shells, if I recall correctly), leading to severe drops in wild eagle populations and other raptors. Banned int he early 70s (US) still used for mosquito control elsewhere (alternative is more malaria).
I am old enough to remember the reports that eagles and osprey were crushing their own eggs in the nest due to the shells being thin, supposedly due to DDT.

In 3rd world countries, I believe.
I mean, the developing world.

My understanding is that when DDT is used for light spraying of certain indoor areas it is INCREDIBLY effective at preventing malaria mosquitos from infecting people and extremely safe for the environment.

It was, I am told, the heavy spraying of large swaths of land that caused the problems.

User @Joel Just Joel was kind enough to post the results here after user @Geena mentioned they were available. I am NOT linking to the video. This is NOT the place for conspiracy theories. This IS the place to talk about the actual lab results without comment regarding the identity of the guy posting them - no ad hominems. We will assume, for sake of argument (as he did) that the lab was independent and accurate.

Those are the ground rules. If you wander out past left field, I may choose to entertain myself by illustrating just how far out of the ballpark you are - or I may tire of the whole thing and lock the thread before the BYC devs do it for me, and issue another "please behave" warning to me (which, honestly, I deserved).

Next post, I'll start copying the results to this thread. But first, I have to protect some plants - frost warning. be back in 5.
Thank you for doing this

OK, where was I??? Second testing company. (I can barely read these, but I can read them)

If your eyes are struggling:
Moisture: 11.2% (Honestly, this ain't great. You want dry food <10% to discourage thngs from colonizing - also, you can see the results below when the conpare "as fed" with "dry matter" - as if all the water was removed. But again, a little extra water won't cause chickens to stop laying)

CProtein: 15.9% (As fed) - 17.9% (dry)
CFiber: 6.6% / 7.4%
CFat: 3.2% / 3.6%
Calcium 3.66% / 4.12%
Phosph: 0.54% / 0.61%
Magnesium 0.29% / 0.33%
Potassium 0.72% / 0.81%

These are exactly what you would expect of a typical layer formulation - all within commonly accepted ranges.

I'm skipping % Ash and NFE - they are meaningless to most everyone, but again, those numbers raise no eyebrows.
