. . . and your stock tanks full of fuzzy cuteness. [IMG] [IMG]

Did I mention I now own eight bantam chicks? [IMG]

There were eight left, with a minimum purchase of six. I couldn't very well leave two there alone, now, could I? More chicken math . . .

Of COURSE you couldn't leave them!! No way I could have!

Bantams, she said, her voice dissolving into loving tones.

It's amazing how many excuses we can come up with to get more birds. Still you could NEVER leave two perfectly good chicks just jsettign there right?

Of course, since they were the last ones, they look like escapees from the Island of Misfit Toys. There's one tiny chipmunk one (OEGB?) that has spraddle leg. She keeps falling on her back, and the others sit on her. If she's not looking better in the morning, I'll dig out some bandaids and make her some hobbles.

There were four D'Uccles, and four OEGBs. They're probably all roos!

LOL would be my luck too. [IMG] Last year I hatched 12 OE eggs, and I got 12 roos! [IMG]

Well, three of them didn't make it through the night. [IMG] Two D'Uccles gone, and one OEGB. One of the D'Uccles had an unabsorbed yolk sac. I think the others were just too weak.

The spraddle-legged one looks stronger, today. I went ahead and splinted her this morning. We'll see how she does. I've also ground up their crumbles smaller, just to make sure they can eat. The survivors are LOUD. [IMG]
