Westar cringed, his eyes still on the floor. “Uh, fire.. um, melting stuff.. uhh..” His claws opened and closed nervously. “I don’t know!” He moaned. A guard slowly opened the cell door, and Westar turned to look at him- his face slightly hopeful. “Master Apollyon says to join Azira in the battle.” He reported. “He wants Aerattl conquered by the time he checks back on you both.” The guard shut the door.

The second guard flew quickly towards Aerattl. When he finally got through the ranks to Azira, he halted in the air in front of her- flapping his wings to stay aloft. “Master Apollyon says to continue the battle without him.” He called over the heavy rushing of wings. “He is sending Flint to help lead the army with you. He wants in conquered by the time he comes back.” The guard flew away from the battle area.

"Keep an eye on him, Onyx." Flint said, motioning to Westar. "I've got a job to do." He said as he left to go gather more clone troops.

Flint and his troops caught up to Azira just as she was entering the realm of Aerattl. Mt. Ascension loomed in the distance, thick clouds enshrouding the high peak and above. He flew to the head of the line where she was. "Azira!" He called, beckoning her to halt the troops and land for a discussion.

*azira looked toward him quickly before gliding down to land.*
 
Apollyon approached Tank. "How goes it?" He asked.

"Very well, my Lord." Tank said, dropping to one knee. "The main city is yours."

"Good." Apollyon nodded. Gather up about half the troops and disperse that band of stragglers out there. They'll be a nuisance. Give them a little bit of a scare." he said, motioning over to Kallitrax and the other dragons. "I'll take this from here." Apollyon said, walking down into the cave.

"As you wish, my Lord." Tank said, rising and calling the troop commanders together.

Onyx nodded and watched Flint go. “Of course.” She said, her eyes narrowed. She turned to Westar. The young dragon looked at her with blank eyes. He had never been betrayed before, and the innner turmoil he was feeling was new to him. “Wh- why would you do tha-“ But the red and white dragon cut him off with a flick of her tail. “Follow me.” She said with a stern expression, opening the cell door and leading him down the corridor.

Zephyr flew in from a perimeter patrol. “No signs of an advancing army, Monarche.” She said with a slight head nod. “Shall I prepare a nightwatch anyway?”

Onyx led Westar down a series of cramped passageways, having memorized every twist and turn. The mountain was an endless labyrinth if you didn’t have a map or a distinct knowledge of path of the tunnels.
Westar, still dejected, followed the commanding dragon sullenly. The snaps of; “Hurry up.”, “Come on already.”, and “Go FASTER” only succeeded in making him feel worse and worse.
Onyx came to a tiny door at the end of a passageway. There was no room for even the slightest spreading of a dragon’s wings, and hers were closely pinned to her sides. “Stop.” She commanded the blue Enfernae behind her, not wanting to be burned by the fire dragons again- well, her type of dragons that is. She unlocked the small door, which opened roughly. The outside of the door blended in perfectly with the mountainside. She jumped out of the small doorway and snapped her wings open, mentioning for Westar to follow her.
The dark blue dragon did follow, opening his wings with a snap of sparks.

“Where are we-“ “Sh!” Onyx interrupted him before he could finish asking the question. “Oh- okay.” Westar said softly, lowering his eyes. They flew on for a while before nearing a familiar territory. Smoke was filling the air, and the stench of burning wood and heat filled the air. Westar gasped. Onyx was bringing him back to the volcano! But why? He watched her fly ahead of him, scanning the area. Finally she spotted what she was looking for. A brown and golden-feathered dragon flying over the volcano alone. She flew in within hearing distance. “Blaze!” She called. “Chief Blaze!” Westar was stilled shocked.

*blaze was about to head own the volcano, which was still erupting, when he heard his name over the noise.turning that way, he spotted the two dragons.*

Blaze: don't go closer! I'll go to you! *he called back, because it wasn't safe to ble close to it at the moment.*
