Cursed Waters- A Dragon RP

Whisp looked up at his mom. "I- I think he has rib damage, maybe even a punctured lung. And also fractured some parts of his spine. He's not responding."

“He's dead.” Zephyr said, standing next to Pandion as she watched the huddle of dragons surrounding Monarche Basalt. She didn’t look away from the Solosis monarche for a moment, before turning to look at the feathered Aerattl. Her eyes were sad. “I don’t think Basalt’s going to make though.” She whispered. “He’s hurt bad.”

Yeppers.

Moss quickly nodded at Westar and scrambled up the last few feet onto the cliff ledge, hurrying towards Basalt.
"Father!" He gasped, putting a talon on Basalt's wing. "I'm here." the young dragon looked him all over. It did not look good. Tears started welling up in his eyes as he repeated "I'm here. It's gonna be ok."
*storm backed off to give them space to do what was needed.*

Starshine: his injuries are life-threatening. Honestly, he is lucky to be alive right now. *she said as she did a quick overlook of his injuries.* hat this point, I am afraid to say there is little I can do to help him now. *she had put her poker face on as she was examining the extent of his injuries.*

Moss looked up at her, desperately trying not to cry in front of all the other dragons. "That's all you can do?" He asked in barely a whisper.

Westar stared, confused, after Moss. Someone was dying? Concerned, he flew up into the air to look over the commotion. That Solosis’ father was.. Monarche Basalt? Westar was surprised.

Basalt was still gasping for breath when he, unconscious to the world when heard Moss’ voice. His eyes finally opened in acknowledgment of his son’s presence, and he smiled, his eyes shutting again.
“Moss..” He managed to get out in a raspy groan.

"Yes? Yes dad, I'm right here. Stay with me" Moss said.

Basalt huffed for a moment, then lifted his head and whispered something into Moss’s ear, and let his head drop back down again.

Then the Solosis monarche took his final breath.
Moss listened to his father's final words and nodded, tearing up again.

When Basalt's head fell back down to the ground, he knew. He didn't have to check his pulse or his breathing or anything else.
The Solosis monarche was gone.

Unable to hold it back any longer, Moss broke down into quiet sobs as Ocavo came over and protectively, soothingly put one of his large wings around the young dragon, hugging him close.

Starshine: yes, unfortunately that was it. *she stepped back from him when the monarche passed.*

*ace had slid off pandion and was making his way up to them.*

*mao had finally made it up to them and was heading over to them, still unaware of the passing.*
