Cursed Waters- A Dragon RP

Marrow looked at Afina's red face. "Hmm..." She handed her a glass of cold water from the water storage. "When you're finished, come downstairs to the basement."
Bump whisp)
Petrichor let out a slight sigh of relief. “Thank Goodness, you’re not sand.” She said. She approached cautiously, grateful to see another dragon but also concerned since she was trespassing on his territory. She didn‘t leave home much, so she wasn’t sure if the other tribes were tolerant of outsiders. She realized she should at least introduce herself “I’m Petrichor. You know, like, the smell of rain” she explained. “I’m also…kinda lost. You don’t happen to know where we are, do you?”

*storm, by now was In the meeting room listening to officials complaints and reports. She had been there for a couple hours now. Some of the problems brought up got solutions. A and some hadn't yet. But the most concerning thing was the lack of clean drinkable water, wich she didn't know what to do about. Collecting rain water would not cut it if it went to long without rain.*

"Nice to meet you!" He grinned again. "Welcome to Enfernae land! That's why it's so dry and hot here. You're an Aerattl, no?"
“Yes” she added, still relieved “I sure am glad I ran into you, Ocavo“ she said earnestly. She was going to ask him how to get back to Areattl territory, but she hesitated. She really didn‘t feel like flying all the way back home, not after being on the wing all day, and in the blistering heat. It would be smarter to leave after nightfall, but she wasn’t so sure about following this strange dragon into his territory either. She fidgeted awkwardly, not sure what to tell him but seeking to fill in the awkward silence.

"You look a little sunburned." He remarked. "I can take you to a place where there's some shade and some cool water to drink, wanna come?" He asked.

Sunburned? What does he mean, “sunburned”? She thought, looking herself over. She had sand all over her, but she thought her scales looked fine. Do they? She was worried now. Petrichor realized she hadn’t answered his question. “Yes, yes, thank you” she said quickly, deciding wherever he was taking her couldn’t be much worse than the sandy beach. She tried discreetly to shake some of the sand off her back.

Sterling opened her eyes slowly. She grumbled. "What do you want, Monarche?" She said in a extra grumpy voice.
Basalt frowned. “Show a little bit more respect for your Monarche.” He rumbled. The large black dragon hesitated, then continued; “Sterling, I know that you’ve had… issues with your family. I’m sorry. But three weeks ago my second advisor was killed by a giant centipede as he was flying to Enfernae to check up on the Monarche there. She was planning on passing her legacy on to her daughter. Now I have no advisors, and I am in need of one.”
He paused, waiting for her to process what he was saying.
“I know your prone to anger, and that you hold a grudge for the way you had been treated. But I know that your better than that on the inside.” He hesitated again. “You know that I was slow to promote a second advisor after- after my mate’s death,” Basalt hung his head slightly, then breathed in sharply and continued; “But now that I have none, I want you to be my advisor.”
He stopped and waited somberly for Sterling’s response.

"Okay." She let out. Afina quickly drank and ate her food. She rushed downstairs to the basement where Marrow was.
Marrow was pulling up the stones on the floor downstairs. Once she had made enough room to fit two large imago, she began digging. With her Solosis genes, she had powerful digging claws. That was the one gene her mother passed to her. She worked quickly, not noticing that Afina had entered. Suddenly Marrow shouted, leaping out of the pool. Filthy water began flowing into the hole at a steady rate. Marrow stared at it in disgust, the black frothy bubbles leaping up at her as if they were alive. With as much grace as she could, she dropped the stone she had been hiding into the pool. The water calmed, and the black started seeping out of the water.

Sterling's eyes widened once she had processed what he said. It shocked her but also kind of made her feel happy. "Well, I- I don't know what to say." She stuttered. "I guess I accept your invitation." She said with a hint of a smile afterwards.

Afina gasped loudly. She quickly jumped into the water before even asking permission. She smiled up at Marrow. "Thank you." She told her happily.
