Afina popped her head out from under the water. "I can do this." She sucked up a bunch of water from the pool and tilted her head up. Then she shot the water out of her mouth so that it shot up to the roof and landed back down on her scaly head.

Marrow got her claw wet and drew a thin line with the water. Then she breathed fire on it. most of the fire diminished, but in the place where she had drawn the line, a short, tiny blaze was glowing glowing faintly.

Tribe: Solosis.
Role: Monarche.
Looks: Black scales and very dark brown horns and belly. He has four wings and a thick, heavyset body. When running at a high speed, or flying through the air, he can tuck his head and legs together and roll (or hurtle) at a high speed.
Mate: Had one, but she died after hatching one egg. ( @Bakbuk )
Anything Else: After his mate’s death, Basalt has taken things a lot more seriously than they should be. He tends to be blunt, and get straight to the point on conversations. Currently he doesn’t know Vixen is Monarche because Solosis doesn’t get visited much because of its undesirable rocky territory.

Looks: As a wyrm, he wasn't really any distinguishable color, but quite dark. Even when he isn't, he almost always looks dirty and unkempt. Very much the ugly duckling of the familiy, his pupa stage has made him look even messier. As a wyrm, he practiced his father's tuck'n-roll abilities and mastered them fairly well, but as his scales have become stiffer, it hurts to try to do so now. He has two wings growing in and four horns on the head.
Mate: too young for one
Anything else: Often disheartened by his father's gloomy outlook and his own atrocious appearance, he longs to do something great and heroic that will win him the respect of the other dragons, especially his father. Takes jokes well, but can get tense with dragons who make fun of him. Likes digging and climbing rock formations, and has shown tokens of future skill in matters of flying.
