Cursed Waters- A Dragon RP

The tunnel descended for a bit, but then leveled out. He walked cautiously along. This was getting interesting!
And then-- he abruptly came to a deep, deep shaft. He gasped. Could it be?!? He dropped a rock down in it, but got tired of waiting to hear it hit bottom. It was indeed The Great Abyss. This was the shaft that had claimed the lives of four dragons over the last 500 years. This was dangerous ground!!

"Oh well." He thought to himself. "I guess the great exploration stops here".

As he turned to go, Moss heard a hiss and a pattering sound coming from behind him. He gasped again as a nasty giant centipede was coming towards him through the corridor, blocking his escape. The pupa mustered his energy and blasted it with rocks. Not fazed in the least, the creepy arthropod locked on target and rushed at him.

Lepidoptera glided through a thin layer of fog, weaving carefully around tall stony crags. He closed four of his six eyes, simultaneously resting and watching where he was going. Sleeping while flying was dangerous, but he had practice. He flew just below the Areattl cloud city, in the lower levels of the mountains, which was pervaded by an omnipresent layer of fog. After some distance, he found what he was looking for, a particularly tall crag of stone that stood out from the other mountain formations. The tip of the stone disappeared high into the clouds. He glided up as high as he could manage, perching on the side of the spire and climbing onto a narrow ledge just large enough for him. Settling onto his haunches, he looked out at the foggy landscape.

He watched for any movement, but not even the slightest breeze disturbed the fog. He could feel the presence of other dragons moving around on top of the cloud layer with his antennae. Although dragons from other tribes might've found it’s presence eerie, Lepidoptera found the thick fog soothing. In fact, he crinkled his snout when he noticed the hard late afternoon sun burning through it. He curled up on his ledge with his back to the sun, wrapping his tail around himself like a cat and pulling his wing over his head. He closed his eyes but flicked his antennae up slightly, attentive to danger.
