*shilah had been practicing with her father by the cave entrance. She had used her ability to make a net trap using the poison ivy vines that she can manipulate (solosis can do that right?) Because she wanted to be able to protect herself from things when she's out and about.*

Basalt looked down and saw Ace scratching his scales. “Don’t worry,” he said in his deep voice. “I’m going to take you to my personal underground cave.” He smoothed down Ace’s tense, webbed spine. Trying to relax him. “There’s a pool of water there you can swim in.”

Tide ran out the door behind Whisp. They headed toward the range of Mount Ascension, Whisp in the air, and Tide on the ground. She walked beside the waters of the ocean, veering away from the pounding waves. She was pining for her natural habitat, and even feeling the wet sand beneath her talons made her long to feel the water between her gills and the currents under her wings again. She was thankful Starshine had a tank of water for her to swim in, or she was sure that she’d snap and run back to her underwater cave.
“So where is the cloud city?” She asked Whisp, trying to distract herself. “It would be above the tallest mountain, right?”
