The troops rose off the side of the mountain in perfect order, flying through the Ash-Rock range and into the open desert. Flint and Azira were stationed at the front, and Tank and Onyx were at the back.

Gabe, having just finished lunch, grabbed a couple of items and headed out the door. "Mom, I'm gonna go out and do a little exploring!" He yelled back over his shoulder.

"Ok honey just be back for dinner!!" She called back.

Gabe slipped off into the cool mountain forest.

He pulled out a bow and a quiver of arrows, found a convenient tree and started to practice shooting.

He aimed and sent an arrow zinging to the right of the trunk, missing by about four inches.

He pulled out another and aimed again, this time coming closer but missing on the left side. "AAAggghh!! C'mon, I can do better than this!" He said to himself. He closed his eyes and relaxed for a second and then drew another arrow.

*THWACK!*

He hit the tree trunk dead center. "YESS!!" He exulted. "That's how you do it!!"

Onyx frowned and hopped backward from Flint. When they all flew off, she was upset that Azira was placed at the head of the army, and that she was with Tank.
