Kallitrax didn’t answer, but motioned his head to Enther and marsh. The three glanced up at the clones streaming down the mountain and dove back into the tunnel. Kallitrax took one last look at appollyon and then swung his clubbed tail upwards, creating a rockslide that covered up the entrance to their tunnel. The three Solosis then dug harder then ever before, feeling the connection to Basalt become closer and closer. Soon they would free him, within several minutes in fact.

"Oh no you don't." Apollyon said as he flew back into the mountain, the clone troops following. He burst into the dungeon and stalked into Basalt's cell with the troops standing at the ready behind him. These stupid, stubborn Solosis were going to die.

( ok I’ve been wanting to ask this, is Apollyon secretly a mortamauner dragon?!)


Kallitrax could hear the voices on the other side of the thick stone wall separating them and basalt. Apollyon was in his cell. “ blast it” He thought, new plan.
After several minutes a guard came into the cell that Apollyon was in, panting and looking panicked, “ the…..” He took a hurried breath, “ the Solosis dragons….they’ve….broken in on the Far East side, by the guards quarters of all places” He finished between pants. Kallitrax could hear Apollyon and most of the clones leave for the Far East side of the prison mountain, his plan had worked, he’d sent Enther and marsh for a distraction and it had worked! Once Apollyon left and Enther came back, Kallitrax broke through the rock wall and into basalts cell. He saw two guards with shocked expressions, an Aquation wyrm and…Basalt! Quickly Kallitrax and Enther dispatched the clones and with their combined strength broke through any and all chains. “ Basalt! It’s good to see you! Get your wyrm, we’re leaving now.” Kallitrax said hurriedly, then Enther led the way after blocking off the opening they’d made in the cell wall. Enther would lead them into the deep tunnels beneath the mountain, which we’re secrets only the crystiss new.

Apollyon stepped down into the tunnel. He had been fooled.
He spoke nearly in a whisper but his voice carried for over a mile.

"You think you have achieved some great victory. But you have FAILED. Solosis has been given to my control, and I am the true ruler." He hissed, the words whispering around them with a spine-chilling effect, even though he was far away.
"You shall be cursed to wander the territory for the rest of your days, never stopping to settle anywhere. You HAVE NO HOME. And you never will again." He whispered intensely. Then, his voice faded away.

Kallitrax shuddered, the words of the Enfernae tyrant seemed to be coming at them from all angles, “ there’s something very wrong with that Enfernae” He thought back to all the oddity’s Apollyon had collected and stolen, and all the differing abilities he’d somehow gained. A voice, separate from Apollyons, broke him from his thoughts. Enther was telling them of how the miners had dug cave networks throughout the entire continent, even some under the seas. “ and so the work had began, Talnor was a magnificent leader back then from what I’d heard..” his voice continued, deep and longing, as if he wished he could go back to those times. Kallitrax noticed basalt looking worried but trying to hide it. “ Basalt, now that your back we can fight off that evil lizard, Apollyon. We still have the Great Cave, the soldiers are awaiting your return! Why do you seem…worried?” He finished, inwardly wincing at the word, he wouldn’t have ever questioned Basalt before.

Apollyon stepped back into the throne room. He sat down and ran his fingers over the Watchstones.
And then he realized.
Enfernae was gone.

Furious at himself, he roared into empty space, the echo from the far end of the cave ringing in his ears. Onyx had it. ONYX HAD IT!! Who knew what the scheming little traitor was going to do with it?! He paced back and forth. If she was anywhere in Enfernae, he knew he wouldn't be able to find her. He had to finish Aerattl. Now.

"AZIRA!" He called.
