Time seemed to slow.Apollyon raised his spear high into the air to end the life of the obstinate and rebellious Solosis Monarche. "To choose to challenge me is to choose DEATH." He hissed in a deadly voice.
Current sucked in a breath and felt her lungs begin to burn at the lack of oxygen she was receiving by holding her breath. But Flint had carefully placed that stone. The rock in question whizzed down, hit a certain rock face so hard that is rebounded and hit Apollyon's satchel from underneath, instantly flipping it inside-out (and in his face at that), sending three glowing gemstones flying out towards the monarches!
One green, one blue, and one yellow.
”I won’t forget yours. I hope you keep that in mind.” Said she, her tone darker than before.
Pandion stepped closer towards Westar, “Would you step off his case? Do you have no empathy? If you want Apollyon dead so much, why don’t you go and fight him yourself before forcing weaker dragons to do the dirty work… We all want him gone, Onyx.. But you certainly aren’t showing a personality that anyone would want to be allied with.. “
Onyx’s eyes widened in grim fear at the lighting flashing from the top of the mountain. “By all the flipping venomous snakes..” she muttered harshly to herself. She turned back to Pandion.Onyx turned, her eyes narrowed at Pandion. “Don’t you think I’d kill him if I could?” She gestured to Westar. “He’s not weaker than me, he’s more powerful! In fact, he’d be able to kill us all in an instant! And don’t worry, the feeling is mutual. I never said I was allied with you though.”
“Okay. Alright. I can speak for myself.” Westar spoke up, nervousness tinting his voice. He didn’t want to be in the center of two arguing dragonesses and not end up doing anything to help to end the war. “Onyx- I’ll- I’ll try to stop him. Try to- kill him.” The words sounded all wrong coming out of his mouth, but he knew deep down it was the only way to end all the arguing and fighting and suffering.
*Cue Guardians of the Galaxy power stone scene*Time seemed to slow.
(Yes. YES.Everything seemed to stop as all five dragons watched the shining stones fly from Apollyon’s satchel..
Then they hit the ground and Current’s mind snapped instantly back to reality with a blink. She tripped over her own talons once before scrabbling over to the blue Watchstone and picking it up, immediately feeling a powerful thrum of from the stone through her whole body.
Onyx’s eyes widened in grim fear at the lighting flashing from the top of the mountain. “By all the flipping venomous snakes..” she muttered harshly to herself. She turned back to Pandion.
“Forget this pathetic little rivalry you’ve created, we’ve got bigger problems on talon. You stay here with your soggy baby thing, Westar and I’ll get up that mountain. And Westar,” the red and white scaled Enfernae said, turning to look him in the eye. “You WILL kill him. Whether you like it or not. You need to do it before he kills everyone.”
It was pouring rain by now, though Onyx doubted it would be worse the higher up they went. “Come on!” She shouted, taking flight and aiming for the peak which the lighting had flashed from. Westar began to follow.
But wait- I thought the Aerattl’s stone was purple..*Cue Guardians of the Galaxy power stone scene*

Onyx made her way up the mountain through pouring rain. It lessened as she flew up, and she glanced back to see Westar struggling behind her. She alighted lightly on the peak and peered down. There was a great flash of lighting from the peak of the mountain, it’s rumble reverberated throughout the mountaintops below. The strike was so fierce that the static energy in the air was almost tangible, and Pandion could feel it coursing through her feathers, lifting them slightly, almost like her breath weapon.
Onyx‘s cursing brought her back to her senses, and Pandion stood silently as Onyx continued her tirade against every dragon but herself in the clearing.
Pandion did not like Onyx.
Watching the red dragoness and her slight companion wing their way to the mountaintop, Pandion averted her gaze and turned towards Ace, her promise to Basalt guiding her, no matter how much she wished to follow the dragons whose silhouettes were now dots overshadowed by the mountaintop. “Hey, Ace, let’s get to shelter, shall we? Although, you probably like the rain better than I do,” she added with a weak grin. The poor little Aquation was shaking like a leaf, scared witless by the lighting strike. Pandion’s jest did little to ease his spirits.
