Tide landed on the smooth white stone underneath her just as a shockwave from the lightning thrilled her bones. She clenched the ground as best she could, looking around for where Whisp could’ve landed. “What was that!” She shouted.

Whisp ribboned up to her. His scales were standing on end. "I felt it in the atmosphere." He shuddered.

Time seemed to slow.
The earth dragon monarche, Basalt, looked up at the huge, gleaming silver spear; lightning lit up the sky and illuminated the bloodred scales on the dragon standing over him, face twisted into a snarling mask of anger and triumph.
Basalt’s eyes were wide, sparking with a strange mixture of fear, anger and pain as he lay propped up on his arms from his efforts to get up.
Without warning, an image of Granite flashed in mind, then Moss. An immense sorrow from the guilt of failing them filled his heart, creating an deep hole of emptiness to open up inside of him.
He’d failed to stop the enemy, and now everyone was going to suffer for his failure.

Current sucked in a breath and felt her lungs begin to burn at the lack of oxygen she was receiving by holding her breath.
Basalt wasn’t fighting to stand anymore, thr Solosis’ head was low and his face held such a mask of pain that Current wished she could cut Apollyon down from where he stood that instant.
Three stones suddenly flew through the air, and the sea dragon’s eyes riveted on the glowing blue stone she’d known so well.

The Watchstones.

Everything seemed to stop as all five dragons watched the shining stones fly from Apollyon’s satchel..
Then they hit the ground and Current’s mind snapped instantly back to reality with a blink. She tripped over her own talons once before scrabbling over to the blue Watchstone and picking it up, immediately feeling a powerful thrum of from the stone through her whole body.
*being a quick thinker, it didn't take more then a split second for storm to dash forward toward the watchstones, using her power over wind to shoot herself forward. Her kind often delta with lightningstorms during long flights, so they could handle some amount of lightning. Though she still had to avoid looking at it as she flew. She grabbed her own watchstone before it had landed and had tried to grab the solosis watchstone to but missed.*

*azira however, was nearby and quickly grabbed that one instead.*

Vixen clutched her watch stone close to her. The stones were excited to be so close to each other, she could feel hers vibrate.
(has the stone gotten to her yet? I forget)

@Bakbuk We got 'em. :p

Current glanced at the other monarches and Azira, who had caught the rest of the stones. The turquoise dragon's mind raced. What were they to do with the stones in order to defeat Apollyon? She sifted through the possibilities and only one seemed to work.. but it had never been tried before.
"Try putting them together!" She shouted to the others. They turned to look at her.
"Come on," she rasped. "we know they're powerful. Together, they could be strong enough to kill Apollyon, right? Maybe?" She gave hers to Monarche Vixen.
The new Enfernae monarche had tried her hardest, fought the longest, and for sea's sakes, she was the only one who had attempted to make a cure and help Current's tribe. She knew, if anyone, that Vixen was the one to take all the stones.

Onyx made her way up the mountain through pouring rain. It lessened as she flew up, and she glanced back to see Westar struggling behind her. She alighted lightly on the peak and peered down.
Through flashing lightning, she could see the figure of Apollyon standing over the Solosis monarche. She noticed a blur of motion down below her and suddenly three glowing stones went flying from the tyrant’s satchel.
She traced the movement back, and spotted three irregular shapes just twenty or so feet below her.
Rocks suddenly skittered down around her and she heard gasping breaths. “Careful!” She hissed, shaking debris out of her eyes. “Huah- sorry..” the blue dragon panted, taking in the scene for himself. “So where is- oh.” “Get down!” Onyx hissed again, moving a talon towards him to push him down. She pulled her claws away at the last second as Westar winced away from her movement.
The Enfernae scrambled back behind a rock, giving her a worried glance. “YOU be careful.” He said. “I don’t want to burn you again.”
Onyx opened her mouth to harsh on him for rebuking her but Westar cut in. “So what do you want me to do, fly in and land on him? Or.. something?” His voice dropped as his stared at Apollyon fearfully.
“You wait here.” Onyx said, glancing down at the trio again. “I’m going to investigate something. If I need you to attack Apollyon, I’ll give you a signal.” The dragoness tipped over the edge of the rock she was on and glided silently towards the group, landing behind them.
Her eyes widened when she recognized one of them. “Flint!” She hissed, wings raised, ready to flee at any moment. “What are YOU doing here?”
"Onyx?! What in the name of..." The black dragon trailed off as he hissed suddenly "Get down!"

"Wait wait, whoa whoa whoa. Who is this??" Moss whispered questioningly. "You know her Flint?"
