Cursed Waters- A Dragon RP

Zephyr finally halted her relented pace throughout the sky. Not finding Monarche Storm, and seeing the Presence Crystals flying out of the evacuee cave had driven her panic up a wall.
Her limbs waves gracefully in the air a moment as she froze, cold wind and rain whipping through her mane and tail.
Something had happened. Everything was quiet. Who had won? She held her breath, as though waiting on the results of an impossible test.
Had Storm stopped Apollyon?

Tide looked up from where she’d been bandaging a wounded Aerattl soldier. Had the storm stopped? No, rainwater still dampened her fins and dripped from her esca and wings. She shook her head to clear the water from her eyes.
What had stopped then? Why was everything so quiet? “Mom..?” She said hesitantly, looking over at the black dragon.

@Bakbuk

Westar had ended up getting slammed into the ground. AGAIN.
He slowly let his talons up off his eyes and glanced around cautiously. Steam rose up off his scales where the rain hit, blocking his vision. The young Enfernae flapped his wings; his jaw suddenly dropped.
Apollyon’s body lay unmoving just feet ahead of him.
A scrabbling sound distracted him, and he peered over the edge of the cleft he was on to see the young Solosis flapping up the mountainside.
“Oh! Let me help- oh wait.. you know what, I’ll just get out of the way.” Westar quickly stammered, drawing his talon back and making room for Moss to clamber up beside him.

Onyx stared at the body of her former master, hardly daring to believe that he was dead.
A toothy smirk slowly grew on her expression when the red dragon didn’t move.
“Who’s the worthless, pathetic dragon now?” She snarled to herself.
She searched the area quickly for Westar. He was safe. She let out a relieved breath, turned, and flew away from the battleground without another word.

With a final power rush, the stone blasted Apollyon with an enormous wave of energy, sending shuddering shockwaves through his entire body.
Then it stopped. The energy inside the stone quieted, and with a tremendous *WHOMP*, the great red dragon fell to the ground, completely limp.

The large stone shuddered and suddenly broke apart, forming back into the original four Watchstones once more, each suddenly sweeping up into the air and flying back towards the kingdoms they belonged to.

And then, all was still.
Basalt drew back from his female counterparts, staring at where the red Enfernae had fallen.
He hadn’t stopped Apollyon after all; they all had, together. *What bitter irony.* He thought, remembering attacking the warlord on his own through his bloodwrath.
The silence and the sudden stillness that befell the group made the Solosis monarche aware just how badly breathing was coming to him. Each breath felt like he was trying to breath through fire, and became markedly longer and more strenuous.
He knew he’d pushed himself too far.
The amount of exertions the black dragon had pushed himself to suddenly struck him, and he collapsed to the ground, struggling for breath.

Vixen stood there, frozen. She scarcely dared to breathe as the battlefield was silent around her. Eyes wide, she craned her neck and inched toward where Apollyon lay, wondering if he was alive or not.

*storm held her breath as Sue saw the conquerer fall before cautiously flying down to him to see for herself.*

*starshine looked up the mountain as the deafening silence fell upon the battle ground. She was treating another dragon, an enfernae.*

Storm: I cannot see that far up. Let's finish treating these guys then check it out.*

*azira stood frozen for a moment. She blinked a few times thinking that she may be dreaming, for never once did she think the Warlord would go down in such a way.*

*ace looked over at pandion as they heard the silence from where they are as well. But could not see anything.*

*blaze had a steely gaze as the dragon fell. With a light growl he gathered his warriors to see who survived.*

Whisp flew up next to her.
"Tide..." He whispered quietly.
" I don't know what's happening, but no one's fighting right now. "

Vixen, who was now almost nose-to-nose with the motionless Appolyon, heard Basalt fall and whirled, afraid that they were being attacked. But Basalt was alone.
Vixen scuttled over to him quickly.
"Basalt, what is wrong? Please, your Honor, stand up!"

Basalt didn’t respond, but focused with his head on the ground and eye shut on breathing as the lack on oxygen sent waves of instinctual panic through him.

*mao under started.making his way back toward Vixen and the other monarchs but was finding that difficult due to the fact that his wing was to ripped to fly. So he was having to travel by foot.*
