Who cares about the dust? Take them out, shake them a bit and put them back. If it makes you happy, go for it. Life is really too short for anything else.
My new coop is up and I am definitely putting up curtains now as soon as I get the window in!
LOL. Hello! I am new to the chicken family...We are JUST finishing our coop.... I like the cute idea for the short curtains.... (I SEW ALMOST EVERYDAY)...I'm not sure if I will add them... but I still
I have every intention of having window boxes and curtains for my coop. I'm going with the French country,( blue and white checked). The window boxes will have blue and white pansies and white bacopa hanging down. The coop i'm remodeling was built in the 40's and has the coolest weather beaten look to it i've ever seen. It will also have a dutch door. I guess to each their own...
Well my chickens would be on top of them and pulling them down. They always go for the highest spot to perch at night. By the way, I did not even use glass on my coop, to messy. I used 1/2 inch wire and made shutters. I have enough cleaning to do, sure do not need to be doing the windows in the chicken coop.
Jenikay, you just do what makes you happy. No, valences aren't practical - they're not MEANT to be, but if they make you smile then they are totally worth it. I think they look sweet in your coop and if you don't mind the maintenance then don't worry about what others say. And aren't you just the cutest little thing ever? Enjoy the process!
