Oh gosh- I think Samcat has even more competition in the Goofy Sleeping Poses category. Snowey does a great "You Shot Me, Fanny!" pose. I have never seen the "Sofa Sack" more perfectly performed: Rinnith, your rescue kitty is a world-class sleeper.

Queen Scoot, your photo sent me over the edge- a fabulous "I'm a Pillow" pose by Indie.

Daisy and Zoey win the team event for their "Mother Hen" poses.

I'm going off the computer now, before I end up down at the pound looking for another Maizey...

Meet Jabba the Cat. Also known as "Bubba," "Bruiser," and "Cow-kitty."

One day, around four years ago, the dog was barking ferociously at something up the tree. The whole family walked over there to see what the commotion was. It was this cat, skin and bones (believe it or not), howling. When my mother approached the tree, the cat jumped right in to her arms.

We're pretty sure some thoughtless person dropped him off in the country, because there is no way this cat would willingly leave a home. He's the most happy-go-lucky, people-person friendly cat I've ever known. He loves to eat. He loves strangers and anyone that will pet him. Yet, he's also the biggest, clumsy scaredy-cat in the whole countryside. Rain drops, the smallest rumble of a thunderstorm, chickens, bumble-bees, the wind, his own shadow -- everything scares him and sends him lumbering back to the nearest person's arms/lap. In four years, he has not wandered outside of a 30ft radius of the homestead. He sleeps in the garage, with a couple of other strays, but his favorite thing to do is to sneak in to the house and hide under beds (especially in thunderstorms) or sit in chairs. He's the worst mouser I've ever seen (he sits and watches them play), but we love him anyway. We're happy he found us.

Meet Bella Noel. Named her that since she adopted us in December 2005. We live in a rural area and people dump cats/dogs all the time. Well, she showed up one day, stretched on the door as if to say I live here now let me in. Then proceeded to jump in an empty box on back porch and go to sleep. We had two in door cats at the time and I told my husband that she would be a strict outside kitty and no vets bills! Well, she is still outside kitty but is allowed to sleep in laundry room at night - too many things around that would eat her. Oh! did I mentioned that she gets heating pad under her bed in the winter! Aren't I a good servant.

Not sure how old she is but we guess about 4 now. In the summer we have her shaved since we live in 100+ temps. So the first picture is her winter coat and second picture is just after coming home from the Spa! I spend more on a haircut for her than myself.
