Three females to one drake would be best if you want to keep a drake. They sure are pretty! Love it when that little bit of baby fuzz hangs on.

You know you could probably have 2 ducks to 1 drake, it really depends on the drake. or just go with 3 females.

I have an all female flock and have been very happy with that. If your goal is to have as many eggs as possible then all female makes sense to me. When adding more ducks isn’t a viable option in your situation, I don’t see the need for a drake, since hatching ducklings isn’t in the cards and having a non-producing mouth to feed at the expense of having a laying duck doesn’t make sense in my circumstances. Just my experience. Your mileage may vary.

Is there anything noteworthy about all female flock dynamics? Do they behave differently than when there is a drake around? I’m just curious!

Having not had a drake, I don’t know from experience. My girls all mount each other every time I give them new swimming water, but aside from that, I’m not aware of any differences. Mine seem happy.
