I know it’s kinda gross for a first post ... I have 12 CX chicks. One had what I thought was pasty butt. So I cleaned and dry it. Next day same thing. And another looks to be starting to have the same issue. Any ideas?

Clean it with warm water, make sure it is dry & warm before returning. When I have bad bouts of pasty butt, I use a bit of coconut oil slathered around the vent to help the poo slide off better, so it doesn’t get stuck as quick and is easier to remove if it does. What type of ground are they on, and what type of feed?

Thanks
They are on pine shavings. And I keep it pretty clean. I isolated both of them until I get it cleared up. I am feeding chick starter 20% Dumour (spelling?)
