Oh no, I'm so sorry for your sudden loss! It's incredibly sad when they go unexpectedly like that... She was a beautiful girl, I'm sure you will keep her fondly in your memories.

Just let the ducks out for the day and found another larger egg- so it wasnt the duck who died laying those ones- which brings me back to thinking it was a spider. I guess an autopsy would tell me for sure- but I just cant bring myself to do that. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and hugs...

Sorry to hear about your poor little duck. Seems there was nothing that could have been done, just a terrible tragedy.
