Cyprus' Chat Thread

I'm horrible at reading German. I was once in the butcher shop and a new American lady came in and wanted to make one of the package recipes. I had the butcher read it to me so I could translate it into English for her. Apparently his English was just as good as mine because when I made a mistake he corrected me in perfect English.

Speaking of German Butcher shops, I used to get a gas out of watching him go in, in the morning. He had a steer pulling his cart, loaded with chickens and pigs tied off to the back. Occasionally he'd have a goat or sheep tied on too. In to the barn they went and later into the meat counter. But when I'd walk to work, we'd chat the whole way.

That's really interesting! I'd like to have a working steer someday.

Cyprus if you go to Germany for a year who will take care of your chickens?
Most have been sold.
I'm not planning to go for a year. I have a college I intend to go to in MO and someone I care about that I don't want to lose.
The main reason I've chosen not to go is that the program doesn't offer me what I want.
