Cyst? Injury?

It is so big, it looks like fluid, but since you say it is hard, that sounds more like an abscess or tumor. I would wipe the area with betadine or chlorhexidene, and then lance it with a sterilized needle or sharp pointed knife or scalpel. Tell us what you get. Has she been pecked or showing any other symptoms?

She eats and drinks normally, has always been one of our flightiest birds (we have 46 of varying ages), and tends to stick with our one other cream legbar.

Lancing yielded a lot of blood. Also tried a syringe which looked like a mix of blood and pus, but mostly blood. She is currently resting in our hospital bin and I'll call a vet in the morning.

It could have been a hematoma, where she was pecked or scratched herself, and a lot of blood and collected. Watch to see if it comes back or leaks bloody fluid.
Thanks! It didn't go down much at all. Our small town, country vet opens at 7:30 tomorrow morning, so I'll be giving them a call!

We have a cream legbar that is approximately 3 months old. Today was the first day in the new run, and when we herded get our the door, we noticed a growth of cyst on her. We aren't sure what it is or how to treat it. Any insight? Thank you

Update: This is basically what the vet found. There was a pretty good sized piece of tissue inside of it as well as a lot of blood. The wound is drained and packed with gauze. We were also given an antibiotic. It's still oozing a bit, but she seems to be okay. She is still eating and drinking, so fingers crossed! Thank you everyone, for your help and advice!!
