It produces a very leaky black. I know from experience as well as genetic knowlege. It is not fun to play with and proves very difficult to go back to a pure quail or black color.Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I’m a chicken genetics noobie
So in this breed, quail is a combination of 3 diffferent genes? What would happen if say I cross a quail with a solid black?
Likely the pattern will be less defined.
