D.E. where to get it close to me

I am looking for D.E. in illinois, missouri, western indiana or northwestern kentucky. can anyone help. thanks

I got mine from our feed mill in town, make sure its food grade.

Custom Milling sells food grade DE and here is a link to their dealer lists in several states.

Swimming pool suppliers sell it in 25lb bags.

It has to be safe (it's only calcium) as it goes into filters.

Around here it is about $1 per pound.

If there is a particular reason why Swimming Pool DE is unsuitable ... let me know please.

My box says *Contains Crystalline Silica - Do not breathe it in*.

So wear a mask if you are dusting with it.

It is Not the same as Food Grade DE

In the index FAQs section is a link or links to questions and answers about food grade DE. As I recall, you ONLY want to use food grade DE around chickens. The pool filter kind may very well kill them! I distinctly remember reading not to use it around poultry. Check it out.
