the DE you find in home and garden is not food grade and is not what you want to use around your chickens or yourself.

You might try calling Canton Mills, in MN. They distribute Celite's Shur-guard (might have vendors in MI). A 50lb. bag, here in Cent. MO. sells for $24.95.
