Besides, most husbands have this crazy thought that thier wives can not build anything because they are female. It just works to our advantage.

This thread makes me very grateful for my DH. If I want it built he will do it. He understands the whole layout and the process of building it way better than I do but I can run any power tool known to man thanks to him and my Dad!! I always help with the building part and swing my hammer right along with his although it takes him 3 strikes to get the nail in and it takes me at least 10 or more!!!! I thoroughly enjoy working on things with him. With busy jobs, busy lives, kids and animals we don't always get too much time together so it's nice to have some time with him!!! Hope your coop gets built!!

My DH is a master electrician. I had full intentions of building the coop with him. Once he got a master plumber (my dad) and a master carpenter (a good friend) involved in building a 4 x 4 chicken tractor - I gracefully bowed out. Made the appropriate ooohing and aaaahing noises whenever they proudly asked me to look at it, and left it at that.

Mind you, I didn't get exactly the coop I wanted, but we're still married.
