I just came across this thread and thought I'd send some cute and cuddly duckling pix. The Calls are my youngest daughter's project. These are some of the grays she hatched this spring.

Very cute! Did their eye stripes stay that prominent as they matured in any that are females?

Speaking of grey calls. I am need of purchasing just a few grey call duck eggs. I have a poor little call duck drake that is desperate need of some friends (Bob, whom I posted earlier).

We were pleased with the ducklings that hatched this year. My daughter showed them recently and they placed very well, topping their pullet and cockerel classes. The judge did tell my daughter that they had very good coloring so I guess that includes eye stripes in the females. They have matured since the pictures and I think they look a little "crisper". I am by far, no expert in Calls!

The hens layed eggs like crazy in September and October but have been done for a few weeks. I would have been glad to send some. We did not hatch any fall ducklings.

Here are a couple pics from the summer.

LOL-oh you need just to drive down to Ducklucks house in the spring, I would ship you one but I dont think one little guy would make it plus I cant sex them til about 2 weeks but mine are always in my house for the first few months full time and then half out half in. I just candled my eggs and I have 10 that I can see developing well at 7 days

but I cant count my ducks before they hatch. Oh and yes they would breed your runner-my smallest call drake keeps trying to breed my big British Shorthair male cat-glad poor Salem is so tolerant to everything lol. My female Khaki campbell keeps flirting with the call drakes and trys to get down low enough to assist them lol-lucky she isnt laying yet lol

I ran across this thread and am posting pictures of my pair of call
ducks. I had picked up several for a friend of mine and after getting his
I decided that I just had to have a pair for myself.
