Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

She got back to me! She came up with an elegant solution: She's gonna sell me 3-4 ducklings as a straight run which should have at least one female, and then I'll have to sex them myself to find her. I think that sounds quite fair.

Weebeep. Farout. When do you get them? And once you get your girl will you give the others to the person in Olympia? I can hardly wait for you and Wobbles!!

Nice! So I hope I haven't missed bad news somewhere, but how is little Pancake doing now?

Yep! Alicia has been so gracious to accept the babies in. We do the dropoff/pickup on Sunday. I'm just happy that this worked out, 'cuz Pancake needs more babies to grow up with if he's gonna be a happy outdoor duckie and these ones are just a few days younger than he is. <3

He's doing great! We were worried at first since he was kinda derpy and we were concerned he may have had mental issues like what claimed poor Milkshake. But now he's a little terror, zooming around the brooder and being as cute as can be! I'll miss the little guy, for sure...I wish he was a girl. :/ But at least I know he's going to one heck of a great home!

Call ducks are a bit difficult to hatch, I'm afraid. They're nothing at all like chickens. I used to raise silkies, one of the most delicate chicken breeds out there, and call ducks make hatching silkies look like Easy Mode! But you can do it! If a clod like me can have a successful hatch, anyone can. :p Lacrystol is the call duck hatching guru, and she's always happy to give advice. What color of call ducks are they, do you know? Oh, I can't wait to see what comes out, call ducks are my absolute favorite!

Oh, and I almost forgot... :welcome

Thank you so much for the response! I've done as much research as possible have development so far so good I guess! I'm just going to keep a close eye on them come hatch day and keep my fingers crossed I'm hoping with this many eggs I should HOPEFULLY end up with a nice little flock these baby's are beyond cute and pretty hard to come by around here!

Wow! Beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen that breed before. Bet it's the biggest animal to show up on Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!
