Broody Plymouth Rock 'Ruby' hatched her foster-calls and never let these tiny wonders out of her sight. My call-crew (hopeless at nesting) are mallard, fawn, apricot, silver apple yards, bibbed (currently awaiting the black bibbed's return from rogue nesting :( all fingers still crossed but she's late). One of the new ducklings is hers. Having some struggles with successful nesting actually, trying to avoid caging and have straw beds set up in 4 huge plastic planters laid on their sides in their family pen. They are ignored. Using lockable pet transporters just seemed against their wishes too. They drop eggs anywhere and everywhere then up and leave them, no nest, no organisation, return or care. One of the silvers has just started disappearing into nearby bushland all day and coming back every second night. I don't want to lose her as I suspect I lost her bibbed sister Tux so I've 'grounded' them all in their big pen away from their beloved dam. If that sucks please let me know with suggestions. 4 girls entering Spring here in Australia.
 
I hope you black bibbed call duck comes back, for my call ducks i have built an aviary for them to live in, i found that safer since they are so much smaller than all of my other ducks, that way they wont get taken by hawks which are always at the pond or around it. anyway its pretty easy to maintain i have planted bushes and some grasses in there that will absorb the moisture and keep the area a bit more clean that if it was just grass. I hope you can figure something out they are beautiful call ducks.

She is! lol... but is so hard to be mad at her... wag a finger at her and she stands up and 'talks back', lol... just like she's saying, but mom, I'm so tiny I gotta prove I'm a tough duck! Then she snuggles and squeaks like 'I loves you though'...
Love her so much and am glad you are happy about sending her to me... thank you for that... :love :hugs

And even though I've never seen a Call in real life, I have seen them in photos and videos to notice all those same features. And from the posts you and RavynFallen relay to us about their antics I see it. Then add in you guys getting to touch them and they are warm and soft and that is a huge Squeeeeeee factor.
