Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

I would love to join the thread as I'm a new call mommy. Didn't know I would fall so hard for this little guy. Only 1 made it to hatch so he's alone for now but more due in a little over 2 weeks. I keep calling him a "he" even though I have no idea. Never watched such an intriguing little baby before. So it looks like I've been bitten with the call bug. I'm planning on reading through the thread and getting as many tips as possible for giving this guy and the rest the best care possible. I see you guys are weighing. So I will start that as well. Right now he is less then 48 hours old (but boy has lots of energy) and has electrolytes in the drinking water (maybe that's why) should I do away with that and give plain water? And duck starter crumbles. He cries his head off if all of us leave the room but is fine as long as at least 1 of us is in the same room. He also has a feather nest, 2 bird stuffed animals and a mirror behind his water dish.

I am an expert when it comes to cute. And this little bitty round fuzzball 'ling with his differing color scheme on his bod is wonderful. Add to that and you have a very well proportioned miniature duckling whose webs are black and in direct contrast to the white surface upon which he stands. Note his/her perfect pose of extreme adorableness. I am very much in LOFFS!!

I knew this was going to happen! It's Monday morning and the kids have gone back to school and my lone little duckling is freaking out because the house is so quiet and the kids are gone. I just want to sit on my bed, fold laundry, nurse the baby (human), etc. but there is this crying 'ling in the living room that can't see me. So I've come up with a travel brooder. See through, food, water and a heating pad (even though this little guy seems to do fine with lower heat then chicks). And now he's happy, and keeps nibbling my finger.

My butterscotch call hatched on Saturday. None of the other 11 eggs hatched, so this little baby is all alone for at least six hours everyday!

I'm sorry those didn't hatch. Is the little one excited to see you when you come back after 6 hours? I bet he's adorable.
