They definitely are...I still managed to hatch 150-160 myself (still looking for my one notebook for the final count) but they are definitely hard to hatch.
Whew, me too. Out of approximately 4 dozen eggs, I ended up with 7.
I have to say, though, all of the work and worry of trying to hatch them is TOTALLY worth it if you get even 1 or 2 out of a hatch-they are wonderful, friendly, curious little things.

Yeah, I still got a small percentage out of the number of eggs I had. Did better if they were at least started under a hen. I sold several and kept 3. Luckily 2 I kept were girls one of which (daddy was silver and mama a gray) came out sooo pretty, the other female is black bibbed and the male I kept has a deformed beak. I couldn't sell him, I just felt so sorry for him and I spoiled him rotten. He does great for being challenged. I just adore them all.

Chickensioux-will you be selling Call eggs in the spring?
By the way, your avatar makes me happy.
I pull this thread back up everytime I want to share new pictures!
Here's a recent picture of my little girl, Sprinkles. From a mixed-color batch, she's the only one this color I kept. She's paired up with a Black drake I got from duckluck right now (not sure if it'll stay that way for spring):
...and my baby Silver/Splash Bibbed girls, Silverbell and Evenstar:

Annarie....the brown/ red color on your duck there is that her feathers or clay mud. 2 of my new ducks have that color in their feathers too. Ive only had them a few days and got them when it was raining so thought they had wallowed in mud but the person I got them from said nope..its their feather colors. 1 of mine is also a silver with the red clay colored feathers on her belly and face. Could she throw brown babies if I hatch out eggs
