Whew, me too. Out of approximately 4 dozen eggs, I ended up with 7.
I have to say, though, all of the work and worry of trying to hatch them is TOTALLY worth it if you get even 1 or 2 out of a hatch-they are wonderful, friendly, curious little things.
Yeah, I still got a small percentage out of the number of eggs I had. Did better if they were at least started under a hen. I sold several and kept 3. Luckily 2 I kept were girls one of which (daddy was silver and mama a gray) came out sooo pretty, the other female is black bibbed and the male I kept has a deformed beak. I couldn't sell him, I just felt so sorry for him and I spoiled him rotten. He does great for being challenged. I just adore them all.
