Yes, they probably would walk over but they are full flight so.. i'd rather carry them, they wait at the gate at night anyways.

They wait at the gate, usually you can carry two at a time but its all routine, besides the drake barely has a voice so he garbles while you take the ladies in.

Hello all!

Has anyone been getting Call eggs yet? About a week ago I got two eggs, but then the weather turned chilly again and I haven't gotten anymore.

Has anyone been getting Call eggs yet? About a week ago I got two eggs, but then the weather turned chilly again and I haven't gotten anymore.

I've gotten about a dz over the last 3 wks or do but it's the same here. Every time we get a chilly spat she stops for a few days. I have 6 of them in the incubator right now. 2 with growth due in 10 days and 4 that I just put in on on the 28th. It got chilly here again on Wednesday so she quit laying again. I just added 2 more juvenile pairs to the flock so hopefully they will start laying soon too.
