Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

That's why I need the hen. ;; What color is she? And most importantly, is she imprinted on humans? I can't just take a duck-imprinted flock bird and force her to live indoors with me and Wobbles if she's always been a happy outdoor duckie. That's not fair to her.

Obviously see if you can sell them as a pair, if they're bonded that's the best way to go. I'm not about to break up a couple just because I'm desperate!

Crystal is a grey hen (mallard colored).
She has been both inside & outside but has never worn a duckie diaper. She's currently outside, but would love to come in out of the cold if we would let her. She has not been handled as much recently since she has been outside, but my kids still catch her pretty easily & carry her around. It would probably take her a week or so to adjust to a new home, but if you just keep handling her, carrying her around & spoiling her with treats she will warm up quickly. She can fly a little & is the only 1 who ever gets out of the pen & comes to the door with the chickens & turkeys. Her wings are not clipped, but she doesn't take off. She comes right to the fence when we walk out to the pen. She's used to both people & ducks. If I can find a buyer for just the drake I would be happy to sell her to you. I wouldn't say they are overly bonded. There were 6 other calls, 8 anconas & 2 geese in the pen until I started selling them off the past month. Only the pair of geese & pair of calls are left as of tonight. The last 5 anconas are headed to their new home tonight.

Hey, mini! Not sure if you're around, but I have a couple of updated pics. AND....I got an egg yesterday! I am hoping both the girls start laying regularly so I can start hatching!

yay! Keep me updated! I got 2 hens and a drake I penned up for breeding in hopes of some replacements.

They look good!

Yeah! One of my hens starting laying eggs. Probably I have them in my garage due to this extreme cold spell. She's not sitting on her eggs though. Once there is about 10 I think I will move them to an incubator. My drake has become aggressive since she started to lay. Has anyone else experienced this? He was so friendly before.
