aaah, yay. Your chickens sound fun and sweet. Cool to hear what you had to say.My experience has been the opposite. I have chickens & turkeys that are closely bonded, come looking for us, search us for food & treats, hop into our arms to be carried around, perch on our shoulders, etc. The ducks, not so much. They tend to run from us & really don't even eat the treats we give them. It may just be a bonding issue. My ducks go outside asap due to the mess they make, chicks & turkeys stay in a little longer & tend to get handled more as babies.
My son & daughter have each had "shoulder chickens." My son had a little smooth showgirl who rode around on his shoulder & watched tv with him. My daughter has an EE hen who stands between her feet & pecks her legs until she picks her up & carries her around. I have a turkey hen who tugs my jacket strings, shirt tail or pant legs until I pet her or hand her treats. My birdies are spoiled. Almost every chicken & turkey will walk right in the door if it gets left open.

He ate it, said it tasted fine but has never eaten another one. He still buys his eggs at the store. He's just not interested In eating an egg that he saw where it came from. So weird to me lol.
