Exciting news! One of my chicken hens went broody, and one of my friends has some calls, so I'll be getting some eggs from them and putting them under Penelope. I guess I'll have babies sooner than I thought

Well it's my old grey drake over a snowy hen... so... I don't know what that'd be called

from what ive read and heard those colors dont usually mix and either end up being snowy or grey.

Congrats i wish i could get more call ducks but ive taken as many as i can right now.

Cool! I'm also getting a white hen and a silver hen in late July-early August, so once the babies hatch, I may keep a grey trio since I've always wanted to breed gray and white. The blue genes will just be a fun bonus.

Apparently it's a double blue gene and they're trying to drastically reduce the amount of blue in their flock because all of the babies they're hatching are some degree of blue or blue magpie.
