Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

I need to get a more recent pic. But this little one (one day old in the pic) hatched 2 1-2 weeks ago.
The bill has since gotten much worse

I have a soft spot for the misfits so don't cull them. But has anyone here raised one similar? So far eating and drinking seems to be just as easy but the tongue seems to dry out now and then

We had one of those about a month ago. Bill a little more crooked, but it also had a problem with paralysis of one of its legs.

Ah, poor thing. Haven't had any hatch alive like that, so can't offer any advice, but can offer my support since I have quite a few "special needs" birds of my own.

Aw, poor baby! I can't help from a duck perspective, but I do have a bantam chicken hen missing her entire upper beak and she does fine as she is. Her tongue tip does get dry sometimes, especially over the winter, but it doesn't seem to affect her in any way and seems to function fine as long as she has plenty of water. Don't know if that helps...

Hoping for the best with the baby! :fl

awe, sweet little guy. You're a wonderful person to keep him going. He really is a cutie. Deserves kisses.

x2, that's wonderful of you to love and care for him and not cull him just because of his beak.
