DAGNABBIT - It's done - 2 hatch/live out of 20.

DH is home chirping and peeping to the eggs and two are talking back and just a rockin'. NO FAIR! I want to be home for my first incubator hatch. Just not fair... I do however think it's adorable that DH keeps peeping at them and trying to hold the phone close so I can hear it. Awe

One has started making it's way out, apparently pretty quickly!!! Again... NOT FAIR! I was adamant that I get pictures sent to me... hopefully I'll have a lot of action tonight and tomorrow for myself!

I agree, atleast they'll be there when you get home, the waiting is the worst part anyway! Watching and wishing they'd hurry up and get out, and wondering if there is anything wrong.

I'm also on day 20, but mine may have froze to dealth yesterday, so I may have waited all this time and end up with nothing.

That happens to me all the very time! I work everytime they decide to hatch. I work at night and chicks I guess love to hatch at that time. So I have DH say "ohhh I see a pip"......and then of course (more excited on the phone he says) "ohhhhh I see another PIP!!!!!!! Grrrrrrr....
But at least I get to see one when I get home.
There was this one night I was so frustrated at work(seriously wanted to quit) and I walked in the door and my ears heard a "cheep" in the incubator. I thought...well I guess I can see a beak though a egg knowing my day.
But nope...there was a beautiful baby chick looking back at me all fluffed up!

That made my night so happy!!!

Oh Haviris, I hope yours are okay. I am frustrated that only 7 were viable on day 18 out of the 20 eggs... I can imagine your frustration.

Thanks everyone. I do hope there's a fluffy butt or two to snuggle when I get home!! DH had to leave for a while so I'm not getting updates right now.

The first time we hatched chicks, on day 21 i had a driving lesson...I got a phone call halfway through, the instructor answered and all i could hear was my dad yelling "THERE IS A CHICK, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!" Grrr!

I had 7 viable out of 8, getting this far and having something happen just kills me, but I'm not giving up yet! Hopefully it will just delay things abit.
