Right? I'm still collecting every day, so no one is sitting on anything, but I might "forget" for a few days and see if any of them get broody if there's a few eggs in a nest...
Ohhhh, I love baby season!! My girls would sit on rocks, year round! What kind of ducks???
I have runners, which are apparently not prone to broodinessthe oldest were born July 4th of last year, the youngest October 12th, so everything they do involving eggs is new and exciting! But whoever is laying now is definitely taking the time to make a little nest (and sometimes hide the egg under some straw) so I'm wondering if she'll start laying on them if I stop emptying the nest every morning
Possibly. Date the eggs that way if she stockpiles, you can take out the oldest and you'll be able to tell if somebody else lays in the nest too. Will you let her brood?
