Daily Duck Egg Report

I know what you mean, it seems i get a couple eggs in the fridge and then do a little cooking and then waiting again. LOL Hopefully soon, I was thinking march before they all get going again, but my 1st yr, so not sure. I didn't know ducks molted, but their feathers are looking kinda bare right now on the Khaki's, the muscovies are looking good. So happy they seem to be doing good in this awful weather, wish i could be out with them more often. Hope you have a merry Christmas!!!

How many times in these cold temps should you do their water? I just have the rubber bowl (lg) and at 8am, I go out with fresh water and then again around 2pm. I shut the chickens up at 5 and the duck water is slushy, but not froze, so I leave it cuz I'm thinkin their goin to bed anyways. They can go in and come out all night as they wish, so I was wondering if i should change it 1 more time at night or do they not really drink at night. Thanks and hope everyone had a Merry Christmas-can't wait for this freeze to be done

Hmmm... That's hard to say. I use a heated bucket. I want to say that I don't think they need the water at night, but if they're eating, then they do need it. And if water is slushy at 5, well... I guess it is getting dark by 5:30. @lbrykowski2011 -- I'm not sure! What are your birds telling you?

I changed and filled their water at 5 again anyways, the food is out all night, but I don't know if they eat. I'm out there anyways, so mine as well. It was slushy. :)

This is TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE!

I found 7 eggs here today, all inside the barn stall, but in 3 different locations! So my best guess is now 3 ducks a-laying here!
