I coughed hard, water pouring from my mouth and nose. The water kept coming and I spluttered, gurgling as I tried to gulp down the sweet liquid. I couldn't lower my head, someone held my hair in a tight fist. My elbows were pinned to my sides. I struggled to find my balance, but my legs shook under my own body weight and collapsed. Finally the flow ended and my hair was released. I coughed long and hard, tears streaming down my face.
"Deurias?" Said a woman's voice.
I sniffled, tiny coughs racking my throat as I jerked my head up and squinted at the blurry figure before me, stars twinkling in my peripheral vision.
"No, no, wait," she whispered.
My vision cleared and I blinked, my eyes darting from the woman before me, to the foaming sea, and back to the woman again. It was my ship, I realized, but the crew was missing, replaced by limp bodies scattered across her deck.
Someone to my right sighed with relief and their hold on my arm loosened. I slumped over stupidly, a useless arm flailing. The woman caught my wrist and I jerked back.
"Easy," she warned, the man to my right regained his hold on me.
I blinked hard, forehead throbbing. My whole body tingled, I could feel my hands shaking. The water returned and I gulped it down gratefully.
Sticky with sweat, hair pasted to my forehead, brain desperately trying to gather my surroundings.
"He'll make himself sick." Someone grunted to my left, and the water disappeared.
I inhaled a trembling breath, squinting at the woman. Something about her seemed vaguely familiar.
"Deurias," she smirked as I blinked and blinked. "Why did you do it." It was a statement.
My vision focused.
I recognized her.
:l
GOLLY, dude, it's already so long... At least it has ~PARAGRAFFS.~
But anyways- Ta. Da.
