Daisy’s first hatch

This is our Daisy, she’s gone broody and we gave her 9 of her and her sisters’ eggs to hatch. This is day 2

I found incubating to be so stressful so I’m really excited to see how she does. She’s in our little bantam cochin flock of three hens & their beautiful rooster. She’s somehow even rounder and fluffier and puffier than usual!!

Glad I marked her nine eggs- today she’s stealing even more.

I think she’s going to be a good mama and just setting in a corner of the big coop seems to be okay with her.

Congrats on your broody baby! Make sure she is eating drinking and pooping, and getting some exercise. The reason she wanted to puff up s so no one threatens her wile she is incubating her babies. And so no one steal her nest.

Thank you! I have to lift her off carefully, she manages to keep an egg under each wing even! And makes tiny dragon sounds at me
