It was my understanding that frizzles feathers were suppose to be brittle and somewhat fragile. That is not the case with Daisy. Her feathers are super ultra soft and silky. I'm not quite sure of her color. I'm guessing she is a columbian/blue or columbian/splash mix color. Her feathers are not fully through yet. Daisy was very slow to feather and didn't start feathering beyond her tail and wings until she was 4-5 weeks old. Anyways, I took a ton of pictures of her today. She absolutely loves sitting on our lap. She is roughly 9/10 weeks old.

What a precious progression. I just may consider getting a frizzle to add to my flock after these sweet photos.

I'm so happy to have her in my flock! She came from the straight run bin, so I lucked out with her being a pullet.

I have a chicken that has feathers very similar to your Daisy. Mine is named Chicky Luna. She has a crazy looking mohawk headdress kind of thing and no feathers on her legs and feet. Like daisy, she is ultra silky soft. And BIG. We have no idea what she is as she was sold to us as a Buff Orpington at a farm a ways from here. We didn't get my first dozen from a hatchery or feed store like we did our second 2 batches. We have 1 Buff Orpington out of what we were told were 4. We wanted an assortment and we really don't care what they are as long as they are happy and healthy. I love your pictures. She is sweet!
