my family and I were digging in the garden to create and newer duck pen for our ducks. And the ducks kept on trying to get worms that were being dug up. Accidentally, a spade hit one of my runners on the beak (top beak). The top few layers have been damaged and come off, though are still attached and hanging off the beak. She can eat and drink fine and has been trying to clean herself and the bleeding has stopped. But I haven't seen her sit down yet. She's been sleeping standing up with her head underneath her wings like ducks do when they normally sleep. I have another duck who does this every now and then, but I've never seen the runner do it before and I haven't seen her properly sit down and rest yet. Should I be worried and is there anything that I can do to the the runner?

I'm an experienced duck owner, but I've never had this issue before so would love some help if possible. The beak isn't fractured or broken, just slightly damaged on the top of her beak.
