Damn.neighbors dog got one of my hens

I have Four hens, now I’m down to three.
neighbors dog got in to the backyard saw my chickens running around. I ran out back and grab the steak and whacked him a few times over the fence he went. Pretty small pit mix but he climbed right up at 6 foot fence. I would not of believed it had a not seen it. He went over the backside of the gate actually. Where there’s 2 x 4 cross beams for him to climb up on. Raised hell with the neighbors called animal control. My other three heads are OK told her I’m going to sue her in small claims. That is if she doesn’t get rid of the dog. It’s been terrorizing the whole neighborhood. She cannot seem to keep it contained. They say dogs mighty fine eating. Kidding of course

So sorry for your loss. She looked beautiful, I agree with getting rid of that dog. If it has been causing as much trouble as you say it’s best for it to go.

Sorry you lost a hen here in wv if someone’s dog is destroying livestock you can legally kill it we have a lot of stray running around that people have dropped off I run a 6 strand electric fence around my gamefowl yard and haven’t had a problem other than occasional hawks getting the birds that free range Luckily I haven’t had these issues but if I do best beleive they’ll be one warning and the next will be a dirt nap for ol cujo
