dances with wolves?

i WAS ABLE TO REJOIN THE THERMOMETER. However, I dont think it is reading correct and then I dropped one and it shattered and blue dye(?) went everywhere and it smells horrible!

then its likely an 'alcohol thermometer' but clean it up with:

gloves
put trash in a new trash bag
hand broom for as much as possible (liquid too)
paper towels
close up the bag tight.

Hmmm, mine must be really really old. It is just a digital display on the top, no actual thermometer. Sorry for the lousy picture but its the little rectangle under the little circle.

The Spot Check incubator thermometer reads the temp in 1/10 degrees as the changes occur. The temps in a bator have a range, not one temp. The temps will go from, for example, 98 to 102 and back down again and that is not a problem. You're seeing the readings as they occur, as the heater cycles on and off, not the average, which is what will be inside the actual eggs. It takes some getting used to if you're used to regular household thermometers.

I love mine. Have had two of them--I killed the probe on the first one and bought another because it was so accurate.
