dandruff from hens?

i wouldn’t call this an emergency, but that’s the best category for this question. Anyway, so got chicks a little while ago and they are now 15 week old hens. They are doing great, except ever since they where about 5 weeks old they have had a crazy amount of dandruff flying off of them, Especially as they got older. I would open the coop and there would be a nice layer of dead skin coating the floor. Now I guess I would expect it considering they are growing and loosing feathers at this time but is this much normal? (This is my first flock)

It's normal, and in some humans this dander can cause adverse allergic reactions. Always best to raise chicks outside.
