I adopted some BCM's and Ameraucanas (not EEs, tyvm) yesterday, and it appears that they have dandruff...really badly. Feathers are intact (other than a couple appear to be picked on by brothers)...inspected for parasites...birds act healthy in every way, but they have what appears to be large dandruff flakes on their feathers, and it was all in the carrier when I put them into the isolation coop yesterday evening. Anybody have any ideas about what the problem is?
Could it be the material that covers the feather when they first poke through??? Mine get that stuff on them frequently, and it looks kind of like dandruff????
@teach - okay, thanks. I bet that's it b/c they are about 7 weeks old and are still feathering out. Whew!
