I'm just glad to see others with this problem. Now I just have to convince the hubby he doesn't have to stand in the chicken yard while the girls are out to protect them from the roo. The man is getting a bit obsessed with keeping the roo in line. The roo is now convinced my husband is the top roo. He backs away from the girls only when my husband is in sight.

That's too funny! My DD was convinced that chickens and salmon fertilize eggs the same way. "You know, cause they both lay eggs, momma!" Then she saw Mother Nature in action one day in the chicken yard. The look on her face was priceless.
Well I'm glad my overactive rooster has made anyone's night......my husband is convinced he just needs more females. We are actually thinking of adding some hens for him.
