Cynthia,
I have to agree, they do look a lot better now, finally starting to look like millies.
Hate to say it, but Rufus is you better bird. I like the darker color like Rusty too on mine. But for an over all bird, Rufus has a perfect comb, spiked and good point in back, Rusty has a slick comb and rounded point, would about DQ him in a show. Still would be a good breeder, but his comb is a downer. It will continue to change for another year, but Rufus' motling is apearing to be a lot better too which is another plus, about his only negative and it's just a preference is he is a little pale, I just like the mahogony based birds better like Rusty.
But right now, if I had to keep just 1, based of their over all look, it would be Rufus hands down.
Thank you, Aubrey. Honestly, I was really leaning toward Rufus anyway. Rusty has somewhat of a droopy looking eye as well, though not super obvious except up close. I like the darker color, personally, but yeah, you can't beat Rufus's comb from what I know of what the perfect rose comb is supposed to be. And his overall stance, chest, mottling, etc, seemed good to me as well, based on my limited knowledge. Thanks for your assessment!
Hope you can rest up from all your activities! The heat continues, though seems that we are going to get some slightly cooler weather this week. Hope you do, too!
what's rest??
LOL
That's a new one on me.
Off this weekend thank God, but havent cut the grass in 4 weeks due to all my weekend running, so it is a 5 acre mess right now, guess what I'll be doing....
Following weekend is a tarpon trip already lined up...never ends, then in 4 weeks deer season starts here, dont miss a day of that, enjoy just sitting out there watching them most of the time...
Oh I think I have birds to take care of too some where in the mix
I need about 3-4 of me I think to get it all done, anyone good at cloning?
